In California, police opened fire on a suspect from a helicopter
A San Bernardino County Sheriff's assistant who was flying in a helicopter shot and wounded a car driver suspected of robbery. The suspect left the Chevrolet Tahoe and fell, running a few steps, while the jeep crashed into the oncoming Dodge Durango, as a result of which three people were injured.
The driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe, trying to escape from the police, was driving 215 km / h on the 160 highway, nearly knocking down a few pedestrians. After shooting from a helicopter, the suspect died. Local media do not have information that this was the cause of death, reports rt.com.
According to Sheriff's spokesman Jody Miller, the police rarely open fire from a helicopter, but some of the staff are trained.
The police added that they are waiting for the results of the autopsy, which should show whether the man died because of gunshot wounds or from jumping out of the car, reports the BBC.
