San Francisco Declares National Rifle Association A Terrorist Organization

City Councilor Catherine Stephanie, who made arms control a top priority, introduced a resolution that 11 council members approved on Tuesday, 3 August.

“The time has come to rid this country of the NRA and show everyone who they really are,” said Stephanie.

“Firearms engulfed this country, and we should call the NRA what they really are: an internal terrorist organization,” Stephanie said. “No one has done more to fan the fire of violence with firearms than the NRA.”

“The NRA exists to spread the propaganda of the use of weapons and to provide weapons to those who harm and terrorize us,” said the council member. “No matter how you look, the National Rifle Association is an internal terrorist organization.”

The NRA is outraged by the vote of the San Francisco Observer Council.
