In California, changed the rules for obtaining a driver's license
If you first decide to get a driver's license in California, be prepared to provide additional documents proving your place of residence. According to the Department of Motor Vehicles, these innovations entered into force on July 1.
Today, an applicant for the first driver's license in California, including driving license for commercial motorcycles, must provide two documents confirming his place of residence, not one.
Documents that can confirm your place of residence:
- lease agreement signed by owner / lessor
- ownership of residential real estate
- mortgage
- utility bills (including mobile)
- medical records
