In California, the father lied to the police about kidnapping a child so that officers could quickly find his stolen car
In California, the father of an 3-year-old girl was arrested after he claimed that his car was stolen with a child inside. Later it turned out that he had lied about the fact that the child was in the car, and with this statement he pursued other goals.
Police said Ciara McCroy from Auckland went missing on Saturday evening after her father told police that the child was in a stolen car.
To search for Ciara, AMBER Alert (Child Abduction Alert System) was issued. Investigators said that she was kidnapped by an “unknown suspect”.
