Which US states have the best schools: ranking
Schools typically grade students, but a new WalletHub study has put public school systems across the country to the test. Where are the best and worst schools in the US? Business Insider.
To determine the states with the best and worst school systems, WalletHub ranked public schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia on 32 indicators divided into two categories: quality (80% of the overall score) and safety (20%).
To assess quality, factors such as graduation rates, standardized test scores, and student-teacher ratios were considered. To assess safety, statistics on drug use, bullying, school shootings, and disciplinary incidents were analyzed.
