In which states the minimum wage grows from the new year

In 18 states and the order of 20 cities and counties, the minimum wage will increase. In some cases, the increase will bring hourly employment to the minimum wage of $ 15 per hour, which labor rights advocates call the “subsistence minimum”.

In New York State, the minimum wage for fast-food workers outside the city of New York will increase from $ 10.75 to $ 11.75. It will reach $ 15 per hour by July 2021 of the year.

In some districts, wages will increase, but they will approach only the federal minimum wage of $ 7.25 per hour. Congress has not voted to raise the minimum wage for more than ten years.
