According to the Localize.city real estate website, more than 7 thousands of complaints a year that a man’s best friend barks too loudly are loud, a special surge is noticeable in September.

“The number of complaints rises and falls throughout the month. As a rule, the decline in complaints is noticeable in July and August, and in September it increases by 25%,” said one of the authors of the study, Daniel Slutsky.

Researchers analyzed data from 31 July 2017 of the year to 30 July 2018 of the year. Since 2013, in New York, about 7200 complaints have been filed.

The addresses from which the largest number of complaints “come by type of housing” come from. Complaints come from a four-story home in central Haarlem, a 12-storey home in Upper West Side and a single-story home in Queens.

The complainants also included the Morningside Heights 130 W. 111th St. The people who lived there complained 37 days in total over the past 12 months.

The researchers note that in the summer there are fewer complaints about the barking of dogs due to the fact that people mostly rest and spend little time in apartments, this trend is changing by the fall.
