In Yemen, gunmen seized US citizens

The US State Department said it was doing everything possible to free several American citizens captured in Yemen. It is reported that at least four US citizens were captured by Hussites in the capital of Yemen, Sana'a.

One of the hostages should have been released, however, it seems that the Houthite rebels who captured them, who overthrew the US-backed government at the beginning of the year, changed their minds.

According to representatives of Washington, not one of the captured ones worked in official structures. These Americans, along with a dozen or two of their compatriots, could not or did not want to leave Yemen after the US embassy in this country was closed in February.

On March 26, a coalition of Arab countries led by Saudi Arabia launched Operation Storm of Determination to eliminate Houthi groups in Yemen from the air.

At the end of April, the coalition launched a new operation called Restore Hope. The goal of the operations carried out by the coalition forces is to force the Houthis to return power to the country's President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the government.

Earlier, with an attack on a hotel in Kabul killed an American.
