In a popular New York restaurant, whose owner is accused of sexual harassment, they found the so-called "room for rape." This reports Newsweek with reference to former restaurant staff The spotted pig in Manhattan.

10 women claimed that co-owner Carey Friedman pestered them. He lured them into the VIP area, which the girls called the “rape room”. There he touched them, and also allowed his friends to touch the workers of the restaurant. Friedman also allegedly leaned the girls' heads against his crotch and asked the employees for erotic pictures.

At the same time, the restaurant owner threatened to dismiss girls with bad recommendations if they told about his mobbing. According to the employees, this really happened.

It was in the room that Friedman’s friend Mario Batali, who invested in a restaurant when he opened in 2004, allegedly attacked one of the women while working as a chef.

Other girls complained of him: he allegedly grabbed one by the chest after she spilled wine on himself, another, allegedly, “hugged him from behind” regularly, and the third touched his chest on corporate parties.

In response to the charges, Friedman said that he was going on vacation, and the chef left the business indefinitely.

Recall earlier American producer Harvey Weinstein was in the middle of a scandal: Dozens of actresses and former female employees accused him of sexual harassment. After the producer was exposed, a wave of confessions of victims of harassment from other stars began, in particular, the accusations fell Kevin Spacey, Donald Hofffman, Steven Seagal and others.
