Ammonia leak in Israel

At the Hod Hefer plant, located in the Emek Hefer industrial zone, an ammonia leak occurred on the evening of April 7.

Ammonia leakage occurred in the Emek Hefer Industrial Zone a second time in the last six months. The causes of the accident are unknown.

The previous leakage of ammonia, which represents a danger to health, and in great concentration and for life, occurred in November last year and ended in tragedy. A 34-year-old firefighter died, a 58-year-old male was hospitalized in a state of moderate severity. Another 30 man easily suffered.
