The police report said that the caracal had most likely escaped from the nearest house. It is not reported whether he was tamed or wandered into the living area by accident.
The cat was killed after it attacked and arrived at the scene of representatives of the service for the control of animals.
Caracals are often called desert or steppe trot; they were once specially tamed in India and Iran, teaching them to hunt and kill birds. The height of the caracal at the withers is on average 45 centimeters, the body length 65-82 centimeters, the weight of 11-20 kilograms, reports Wikipedia.
