The hotel rents a room for $ 1 per day, but there is one condition
In Japan, tourists with a small budget can use the hotel services for only 130 yen (1,19 dollars) per night, writes Daily Mail.
Such a low price has a catch - a camera is installed in the room, which will broadcast live on the hotel’s YouTube channel.
The hotel is called Business Ryokan Asahi and is located in Fukuoka on Kyushu Island. A hotel representative said that the idea of renting a room for a dollar came after the room at number eight was the least popular among tourists.
Guests staying in a tiny room have nowhere to hide. The camera captures all the space.
However, the Big Brother aspect is slightly mitigated by the fact that there is no live sound and guests can change in the shared bathroom - nudity is not allowed.
Soranews24 decided to send a reporter to try Room 8. He had a pretty positive experience, in addition to spending a lot of money on a heater.
He said: “[This is] a perfectly normal Japanese-style room with a tatami mat on the floor, a folded futon bed, a low table, a TV and a kettle with hot water.
“Clean and well maintained room. In Japan, a student or someone who begins his career can live here. The only strange thing is a monoblock heater / air conditioner (if you work for four hours, you spend more on climate control than the room itself) and, of course, a PC with a webcam, ”he added.
The price of 130 yen (1,19 dollar) is valid every day, including weekends.
