In Germany, the instigators of the coup were arrested: among them is a Russian woman
In Germany, at least 25 people were detained on suspicion of participation in the right-wing extremist Reichsburger movement, which does not recognize the existence of the FRG. Among them was a Russian citizen, reports Voice of America.
This was announced on Wednesday, December 7, by the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the country.
The agency claims that the Reichsburgers were planning an armed attack on the constitutional authorities. The Ministry of Justice of Germany called the operation anti-terrorist. Searches took place at 130 sites in 11 German states against 52 suspects, according to the website of the federal prosecutor's office. At least 27 people are considered suspects.

The prosecutor's office claims that the Reichsburghers purchased various equipment, conducted shooting training and recruited new members. The detained Russian woman, Vitalia B., appeared to be making contacts with supporters in Russia.

The Reichsburger movement emerged in Germany in the 1980s. In 2017, there were over 16 supporters in Germany. Reichsburgers consider themselves citizens of the German Reich - this official name, with slight variations, was worn by monarchist Germany until 1918, and so on. Weimar Republic in 1919–1933, and Nazi Germany. Participants have their own "identity cards of the citizens of the Reich" and the driver's license of a non-existent state.
The Reichsburgers argue that Germany's pre-World War II constitution was never properly annulled and that the formation of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1949 and then a reunified Germany in 1990 is a sham. This statement is accompanied by a number of territorial claims: the Reichsburgers consider the German borders to be legitimate either before the Treaty of Versailles or in 1937 (before the start of Hitler's aggression against neighboring countries).

As a symbol, they use the black-white-red banner of the German Reich until 1918 (the Weimar Republic had a flag of the same colors as the current FRG, the Nazi Third Reich had a banner with a swastika).
