A ship with Ukrainian sailors sank in the Black Sea
The cargo ship "Arvin", which previously sailed under the Russian flag, sank on January 17 in the Black Sea off the coast of Turkey near the province of Bartin, writes Air force.
According to the latest information, four sailors were killed. Six were rescued as part of a rescue operation organized by local authorities. This is reported by Turkish media with reference to the governor of the province of Bartin Sinan Güner.
The crew included, according to various sources, from 12 to 15 sailors, most of them are citizens of Ukraine.
The Turkish authorities considered the cargo ship to be Russian, but now, according to the Vesselfinder portal, it sails under the flag of the island state of Palau, and is owned by the Ukrainian company Arvin Shipping LTD.
According to the vessel tracking system Marinetraffic, on January 2 the vessel departed from Poti, Georgia, to the port of Burgas.
The staff of the Russian diplomatic mission has already left for the port of Bartin to provide consular assistance.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense has confirmed that it has dispatched a military vessel to the rescue site.
Earlier, Governor Sinan Guner said that 15 crew members are in three lifeboats 600-700 meters from the coast, and the operation to rescue them is complicated by weather conditions.
According to the latest information, the search for the rest of the sailors had to be temporarily stopped due to worsening weather.
“We are forced to suspend the search operation due to bad weather conditions, which led to the shipwreck,” Sinan Guner said in an interview with Turkish television channel NTV.
According to the governor, the rescued sailors were taken to a local hospital, where he himself intends to go.
A military helicopter was also called to help the rescuers. Civilian ships were also dispatched to the scene of the operation.
