In the Lubyanka area on Vorovsky Square, an unknown person opened fire from a Kalashnikov assault rifle, sources in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moscow confirmed to RBC. According to one of the interlocutors, there is a victim, another claims that a person was injured.

Information about the shooting is confirmed by the Telegram channel “Rise”. “Shooting and screams are heard, people from the street were driven into buildings,” the channel quotes an eyewitness. The videos that appeared on Telegram channels and social networks show how armed people are running towards the FSB building, located near the police station.

On the records, gunshots and the sound of sirens are heard, police officers drive people who are in the square at the headquarters of the special services to the metro station. On the streets adjacent to the FSB building, traffic stopped. The center for traffic management reports: “Traffic in the area of ​​Bolshaya Lubyanka is blocked. Choose a detour. ”

As told Novaya Gazeta an eyewitness who was sitting in a cafe on the Kuznetsk bridge, the shootout began at about 18:00, after which people in uniform ran from the Rozhdestvenka street to the FSB building. At the same time, no one was evacuated from the cafe.

The city introduced the Siren plan, which implies the search for dangerous criminals. Strengthened security measures have been introduced in Moscow, a source close to the FSB told RBC. In the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs units, personnel are being collected, special technical measures are being taken at the scene: jamming mobile communications.

The FSB officially confirmed that the shooting in the reception of the special services opened three people, two were killed in a shootout with guards, one continued shooting on the street. As a result of the shooting, a traffic police officer who was on duty at the reception building was killed. The criminal barricaded himself in one of the houses on Bolshaya Lubyanka and was killed an hour later. Intelligence agencies consider the incident as a terrorist attack, writes Meduza.

However, later the FSB denied information about the entry into the building and clarified that the shooter was alone, the newspaper writes. "Vedomosti".

The Ministry of Health said that two FSB officers were seriously injured during the shootout. Explosives are working at the shooting site. According to Moscow 24 and the Life Shot Telegram channel, a grenade and a backpack with unknown contents were found at the scene.

Source RBC, close to the FSB, reported two wounded — Alexander Zamchalin and Pavel Anisimov, as well as one dead - Ilya Fisenko.

Correspondent RBC reported that after a short lull and the elimination of the shooter, a shootout was again heard.

The Investigative Committee (ICR) opened a criminal case under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempt on the life of a law enforcement officer), a source in the ICR told RBC.
