Two Russian-speaking from Brooklyn accused of extortion

In Brooklyn, two Russian-speaking men were accused of conspiring to extort. The whole story is reminiscent of a criminal detective about the Russian mafia of the 90-x.

According to the court, 50-year-old Ruslan Raizin learned that the teenager who worked for his cleaning company started his rival business, and decided to teach him a lesson with 54-year-old Mark Krivym.

“They brought the victim to a secluded location in Shepshead Bay, where Raisin allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat, brandished a knife, and then offered him the choice of cutting off his ear or slit his throat,” the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York said in a press release.

Curve believed that he should kill the victim. However, Reizin demanded that the teenager close his business and pay $ 10 thousands of dollars to him and the motorbikers club, which includes Reizin and who is engaged in extortion.

When the victim replied that he could not afford to pay, Reizin ordered Krivoy to beat the victim, which he did. Then Reisin offered the victim a "discount", demanding that he pay $ 5000 monthly. Reizin also promised the teenager that he and his family would suffer if he reported the attack to law enforcement.

Over the next several months, the victim regularly paid Reizina. All this time, Raizin constantly threatened to cut off the ear of one of the family members and "make him chew and swallow."

If the defendants are found guilty, they face up to 20 years in prison.
