54-year-old Ronald Deluka from Boston, who worked as a Uber driver, turned out to be audited by the company's security, despite a number of violations.
Among other things, Deluka was previously convicted of committing a sexual offense of the second level, his driving license was suspended and he had no insurance.
In addition, as reported, he had repeatedly violated the rules of the road, in particular, due to exceeding the speed limit and driving with invalid rights.
A Uber representative declined to answer the question of how a person who is in the police database as a sex offender could get a job.
According to him, the employee is suspended from work at the time of the proceedings. The company appealed to local law enforcement agencies and is ready to fully assist the investigation.
Uber, a popular online transportation service, does not require its drivers to undergo a fingerprint procedure, which, according to authorities, has led to hiring people with a criminal background.
In recent weeks, Uber drivers in Arizona, Delaware and Hawaii have been charged with various crimes, including rape. In addition, in Maryland, a driver with a criminal past was detained for attempted murder.
