She has always been a role model, however, as it turned out later, Lassie had her own little secret - the woman loved the attention of schoolchildren. According to state law, communication with students is subject to up to 10 years in prison, writes TVNZ.
Leslie Buttram Gillespie is indicted on separate counts of second-degree rape and second-degree sodomy, as well as two counts of being a school employee who had sexual intercourse with a student under the age of 19.
Gillespie worked at RA Hubbard High School in North Courtland. In 2019, the school recognized her as Teacher of the Year. In addition, she has compiled several methods of teaching English.
Online records confirm that Gillespie was released on Thursday, May 27 after posting a $ 60 bond.

Lawrence County Schools Superintendent John Bret Smith sent home a statement to parents after the teacher's arrest, which said the district would conduct its own investigation into Gillespie's alleged behavior.
“While the district is unable to provide any specific details at this time, we want to emphasize that nothing is more important to Lawrence County schools than the safety and well-being of our students,” the statement said. "We will try and work quickly to resolve the situation."
