The success of the legendary Zeinab Khanlarova in New York

People's Artist of the USSR and Azerbaijan Zeynab Khanlarova performed a two-day concert program in New York.
At concerts that took place on March 30 and April 1, Zeinab Khanlarova accompanied by an ensemble of 12 people sang not only Azerbaijani folk songs and mugham, but also Uzbek, Tajik, Afghan and Jewish songs.
“The success of these concerts in Brooklyn and Queens would have been unthinkable without the enormous support provided by the Committee for Diaspora Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the community of Bukhara, Mountain Jews, Azerbaijanis and Iranians of New York, community newspapers, radio, restaurants,” said the producer of the tour, President Company MIRAF Raphael Nektalov.
During a concert in Queens, a member of the State Assembly of New York, Rory Lanzman, solemnly presented the legendary singer with an honorary certificate for strengthening friendship between the peoples of the United States and Azerbaijan.
- In Azerbaijan, they always respect their Jewish compatriots living all over the world. Arriving in the US through 20 years, I was able to meet again with many of them, ”Zeynab Khanlarova said in an interview with our correspondent. - Together with Rafael Nektalov, we have outlined several new projects, and I hope that we will implement them as soon as possible. I am proud that the community of Bukharan Jews initiated our concerts and our performances were so warm.
The concerts were a great success. The audience did not want to let Zeinab Khanlarov off the stage. Three hours without a break Zaynab-khanum sang, which has reigned on the stage for more than half a century! It was necessary to see how the audience greeted her appearance on the stage, and after the performances everyone wanted to greet the legend of our art, take a picture with her, take an autograph.
