USCIS resumes work: how to reassign a quarantined meeting

Some US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) centers have re-opened their offices for immigrants. If adverse weather conditions impede your ability to report to the USCIS office, you can postpone the interview or appointment if you prove that your absence was due to the weather.

Field, international and other offices

If you are scheduled for an interview and the USCIS office in which it is scheduled is closed, then USCIS will automatically reschedule the meeting as soon as possible.

If you have scheduled InfoPass or another meeting, and the USCIS office in which it is to be held is closed, then you should reschedule this meeting and schedule a new one yourself.

Application Support Centers (ASC)

If you need to reschedule a meeting, including due to poor health, follow the instructions.

If you have an appointment with USCIS and your ASC opens late, closes early, or closes for the whole day due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather or power outages, then USCIS will automatically reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.

You will receive a new ASC nomination notification. If he is gone within three weeks, contact USCIS at 800-375-5283 (TTY 800-767-1833).

If you did not wait for a notification of a new appointment by mail, then visit ASC anyway. However, ASC may not be able to process your application due to the high volume of cases. Then you have to wait a long time for an appointment or return on another day.

If you need to reschedule your visit to USCIS Biometric Services for a good reason before the appointed meeting date, then you must follow the instructions in the appointment notification.
