"The United States and Ukraine have taken important steps toward restoring lasting peace in Ukraine," the statement said.
"The United States is immediately lifting the pause in intelligence sharing and resuming security assistance to Ukraine," both sides in the negotiating process said.

At the same time, Ukraine expressed its readiness to accept the US proposal to immediately introduce a temporary 30-day ceasefire, which could be extended by mutual agreement of the parties, provided that the demands are accepted and simultaneously met by the Russian Federation.
The statement noted that the United States will convey to Russia that reciprocal steps on its part are the key to achieving peace.
The negotiators discussed the importance of humanitarian efforts as part of the peace process within the framework of the above-mentioned ceasefire regime. This includes the exchange of prisoners of war, the release of detained civilians and the return of forcibly displaced Ukrainian children.
Both delegations agreed to determine the composition of their negotiating teams and to begin negotiations immediately to achieve a sustainable peace that will ensure Ukraine's long-term security.
"The United States committed to discussing these specific proposals with Russian representatives. The Ukrainian delegation once again emphasized that European partners must be involved in the peace process," the statement said.
In addition, the two presidents agreed to conclude a comprehensive agreement on the development of Ukraine's critical mineral resources as soon as possible to strengthen Ukraine's economy and ensure its long-term prosperity and security.
It was the first official meeting between Kyiv and Washington since the disagreements between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House on February 28.
From the US side, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Michael Volz arrived at the meeting in Jeddah.
The Ukrainian side was represented by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The published footage also shows Yermak's deputy Pavlo Palisa, whom Ukrainian media call Zelensky's adviser on military issues.
The main topic of the meeting was a discussion of ways to achieve peace in Ukraine and the possibility of resuming military assistance from the United States.
Before the meeting, Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters he expected "good" talks.

During the meeting in the White House, tensions arose between the presidents - Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump. This led to the early completion of negotiations and the cancellation of a joint press conference.
