The US deported 130 illegal immigrants from post-Soviet countries: Uzbekistan paid for the expulsion of its citizens in full
The plane carrying illegal immigrants to be deported took off from Philadelphia and made an additional stop in New York, where it took on board another group of illegal immigrants subject to deportation. After that, the airliner arrived in Uzbekistan, reports The Center Square.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Office officers based in Philadelphia removed 90 “unauthorized immigrants… as part of a larger operation that ultimately involved more than 130 people.”
All of the deportees were from Central Asian countries and were in the United States illegally. They were arrested across the country as part of the Trump administration's mass deportation campaign, which has primarily targeted the most dangerous criminals.
“The Department of Homeland Security’s coordination with the Government of Uzbekistan was key to the successful removal of these individuals. Under Commissioner Noem’s leadership, this operation not only strengthened our international partnerships, but also enhanced national security,” said Brian McShane, Acting Director of the ICE ERO Philadelphia Field Office.

The removal operation was made possible by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)'s announcement of a new partnership with the Uzbek government to accept not only its own citizens, but also citizens of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Uzbekistan has agreed to fully fund the deportation of its citizens, DHS said, emphasizing that “security cooperation between the United States and Uzbekistan sets the standard for allies of the United States.”
“We commend Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for arranging the flight that returned 131 undocumented migrants home,” said DHS Administrator Kristi Noem. “We look forward to continuing to work with Uzbekistan to enhance our shared security and uphold the rule of law.”
Other major arrests and deportations from Philadelphia include a Jamaican man suspected of murder and Ecuadorian fugitives wanted for murder, rape, drug trafficking and theft. In each case, the suspects illegally crossed into the U.S. through California, Texas or Arizona.
In addition, a Colombian national wanted by Panamanian authorities for aggravated rape of a minor was arrested by ICE ERO agents in State College, Pennsylvania. After illegally crossing the border in Texas, he was detained by the U.S. Border Patrol, but under the Biden administration, the Colombian was placed in an “alternatives to detention” program. He was released so that he could be screened or prepared for deportation, and has been wanted in Panama since 2020.
In another case, ICE ERO officers arrested a Dominican Republic citizen previously convicted of attempted possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. According to The Center Square, she was among the top 100 most dangerous illegal aliens deported by the Trump administration.
The U.S.-Uzbekistan deal is one of many agreements struck between world leaders President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio that require foreign governments to pay for the deportation and repatriation of their citizens.
