'I begged you not to go': just two days in the Dominican Republic two residents of New York died

She died on June 10, but less than 11 hours later, on June 28, another New York resident, a XNUMX-year-old man, died in the Dominican Republic. Thus, the series of terrible and inexplicable deaths of US residents in this country continues.

53-year-old Leila Cox passed away on June 10, just a day after celebrating her 53's birthday, writes New York Post. Her son said that her mother would be alive if she didn’t decide to go to a popular island.

According to the son of the deceased, William Cox, employees of the US embassy said that the cause of death was a heart attack, but the flow of unexplained deaths of American travelers in the Dominican Republic caused him to suspect the death of his mother.

“I am amazed, confused and shocked,” he said on June 13. - I have the right to be suspicious. Given what's in the news right now, we think she's a victim of what happened to everyone."

An 25-year-old man said that his family asked the woman not to go on vacation, where she went to 5 on June, and from where 12 should return. It is unclear who found Cox and whether she died in one of the hotels where six other US tourists unexpectedly died last year.

“The family wanted her not to go on this vacation,” Cox said. “I truly believe that if my mother had not gone to the Dominican Republic, she would be alive today.”

The woman’s family said that she could not afford to pay her own toxicological report, and she wanted to do her will by cremating the body and returning the ashes to the USA.

“She was thrilled to go to the Dominican Republic for her birthday. It was supposed to be a holiday. This is all incredibly sad,” said one of the family’s neighbors.

A day after Cox's death was reported, another tragic incident became known. A New York restaurant worker, 28-year-old Manuel Nunez, died in the Dominican Republic, but for a different reason - he had liposuction at a local clinic, writes New York Post.

However, amid a series of mysterious deaths of Americans in this country, the mother of the deceased calls on the US authorities to investigate the case of his death, suspecting that she may not be told the reasons. Nuñez died on June 11 during the third liposuction in his home country with fake documents.
