People's Artist of Russia Alexandra Nazarova, well known to Russian audiences for her roles in the TV series “Brigada” and “My Fair Nanny,” died in Moscow at the age of 79. This was reported by the official website of the Moscow Drama Theater. M. N. Ermolova, quoted Газета.ру.

Galina Bogolyubova, deputy director of the Yermolova Theater, spoke about health problems that could lead to Nazarova’s death, RIA Novosti reports.

According to her, the actress had lung problems. Since July, Nazarova has been treated at the hospital, trying to restore her health. Bogolyubova noted that during the illness the actress “lay on the pipes and into whom she fell into.”

At the moment, the place and time of farewell to Nazarova are not named.

Alexandra Nazarova was born in Leningrad on 17 on July 1940 in the family of Honored Artist of the RSFSR Ivan Nazarov. Her fate was determined at the very beginning of life, when at the age of six she played her first role. Nazarova graduated from the A. N. Ostrovsky Leningrad Theater Institute, after which she moved to Moscow and settled in the Central Children's Theater (now the Russian Academic Youth Theater), which was then directed by the great Anatoly Efros.

However, in 1963, Efros was offered to head the Lenkom, and many actors who played in his performances at the Central House of Artists went after him. Nazarova, however, refused this path and dreamed of playing more serious roles on the stage. As a result, the young actress signed up for an audition at the Ermolova Theater, which was successfully completed. Here, the artist served until the end of her life.

During her long career, Nazarova starred in more than 90 films and series and voiced more than 70 of foreign films and animated films.

Nazarova was born at the same time as the outstanding acting generation in Russia. Her debut on the big screen took place in the 1961 year in the film by Julius Raizman "And if it is love?" Together with Nazarova, the future superstars of the Soviet screen, Andrei Mironov and Evgeny Zharikov, played their first roles in this film.

The actress got the role of the grandmother of the main character Vika - a shocking woman with terrible manners, suffering from senile sclerosis. Almost from the first episodes, the heroine Nazarova believed that her granddaughter was the wife of the character Sergei Zhigunov.

The last role of Nazarova was the film adaptation of the popular director Yuri Grymov's play "The Seagull" by Anton Chekhov, which was released in the fall of 2017. The main roles in the film were played by Alexander Baluev and Maxim Sukhanov, and Nazarova embodied the image of the nanny of the Prozorov sisters - Anfisa.
