'Will improve the quality of customer service': USCIS has introduced a new convenient service

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is introducing a new Interactive Voice Response (IVR) telephone system for calls in English and Spanish to the USCIS Contact Center. This is stated on the official website. USCIS.

IVR is an interface that allows a user to communicate using voice and, in many cases, hardware, with a computerized system.

The new IVR system personalizes the caller, giving him the opportunity to:

• talk to the system, and not select the desired parameters using the keyboard;
• Receive links to forms and information by email or text;
• Provide real-time feedback through an optional survey.

“We will be introducing the new system in stages, and therefore not all subscribers will immediately interact with the IVR. Once fully operational, the system will improve USCIS Contact Center efficiency and customer experience by providing callers with a broader range of self-service options. This should also reduce the time callers may spend on calls due to their accent or dialect or background noise,” the department said in a statement.
