The organizers of the campaign want Mark Zuckerberg to publicly apologize to Ukrainian users.

A group of activists urges Ukrainian Facebook users to boycott the social network due to the alleged blocking of messages by a number of Ukrainians.

Thus, a group was created on the social network in which Ukrainians are urged to deactivate their accounts for two days - May 18 and 19.

“Mark Zuckerberg gave an absolutely inadequate response to the request of more than 50 thousand Ukrainian users. They asked him to reconsider the complaint process in connection with the mass bans of opinions of Ukrainian leaders,” the message said.

The organizers of the campaign want Facebook Head Mark Zuckerberg to apologize to Ukrainian users as a result of the boycott.

Recall, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko personally asked Mark Zuckerberg create a Ukrainian representative office of Facebook.

In response, Mark Zuckerberg said that in the future he might think about this proposal. 14 May within an hour, he answered questions of concern to users at the headquarters of the organization in Palo Alto in the United States.

As reported, the user Gregory Kupershmidt complained about the injustice when blocking pages and posts by Facebook, explaining that the Ukrainian segment is in charge of Russian management.

However, Mark Zuckerberg commented that there were indeed several posts that they decided to remove for violating the rules prohibiting the use of "hate speech" against another nationality. At the same time, he assured that there is no Facebook administration in Russia that would moderate the Ukrainian segment of the network.
