Ukrainian in the US illegally raised marijuana by $ 1,4 million
In the city of Woodland Park, Colorado, a Ukrainian woman was arrested on suspicion of illegal growing of marijuana.
She seized more than 288 pounds (130 kg) of illegal marijuana and 86 live plants, according to a report on the Teller County Sheriff's page Facebook.
The cost of her grown “grass” on the black market is about 1,4 million dollars.
A search of the woman’s house was carried out on June 14, and all of these plants were found during the search.
Suspect was a Ukrainian citizen 52-year-old Svetlana Azovskaya, she was arrested and charged with the illegal cultivation of marijuana.
In Colorado, both medical and recreational marijuana is legalized, but law enforcement agencies are struggling with the illegal cultivation of “grass” because it does not undergo proper quality control and can be dangerous for buyers, and besides, taxes are not paid on its sale.
