Ukraine is building a wall on the border with Belarus: they also plan to fence themselves off from Russia

A wall is being built on the northern border of Ukraine, and the regions bordering Russia are also being strengthened with fortifications.

This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko in Telegram.

“Work is in full swing in the northern part - a wall is being built here on the border with Belarus. A ditch, an embankment, a reinforced concrete fence with barbed wire - these are engineering barriers that are being built in Volyn. About 3 km of the border has already been developed, work continues. That's not all, but we won't reveal the details. Work is underway in the Rivne and Zhytomyr regions,” Tymoshenko wrote.

According to him, fortifications are also being built in the regions bordering Russia. Tymoshenko added that Ukrainian border guards have "all the necessary equipment to see the enemy far away."

This is done in order to avoid a possible re-invasion of the armed forces of the Russian Federation from the territory of Belarus. Russia has long begun to gather its forces there. Although it is estimated that it will need another 2-3 months to collect enough resources to enter Ukraine, the authorities have decided to strengthen their positions now.
