Remains of non-human creatures

UFO hearings in the Mexican Congress, at which alleged remains of non-human beings were presented, provoked a strong reaction from the international community. Critics called them a "stunt" and officials in Peru, where the alleged samples were first discovered, raised many questions, writes Reuters.

Mexican journalist and longtime UFO enthusiast Jaime Maussan showed politicians at a Sept. 12 hearing two tiny "bodies" displayed in cases, with three fingers on each hand and elongated heads. He stated that they were found in Peru in 2017 and are not related to any life form on Earth.

Maussan has made similar controversial statements in the past.

The images from the congressional hearing, the first of its kind in Mexico, have sparked both international curiosity and serious criticism.

Former US Navy pilot Ryan Graves, who also attended the hearing and shared his personal experiences with sightings of “unidentified anomalous phenomena,” criticized the presentation.

“The demonstration was a huge step backwards on this issue,” Graves said. “I am deeply disappointed by this unfounded stunt.”

In July, Graves participated in a US Congressional hearing on the UAP issue, where he said that sightings of unexplained phenomena in the airspace were "grossly under-reported."

In his speech, Maussan said the specimens were found near the ancient Nazca Lines in Peru and were estimated to be about 1 years old, according to the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). According to him, they are not related to any species on Earth.

Similar finds in the past have turned out to be the remains of mummified children.

Peruvian Culture Minister Leslie Urteaga said no scientific institution in the South American country had identified the remains as non-human and questioned how the specimens left Peru.

“The Ministry of Culture filed a criminal complaint against some people who were involved in this,” Urteaga said. "I'm going to ask for information to find out what happened."

Maussan said his critics have yet to provide evidence to refute his claims.

“They want to take away the power that this discovery has, but only through testimony, interrogation and without a single piece of evidence,” Maussan said. “We have been investigating for years.”

UNAM said in a statement that the work of the National Laboratory of Mass Spectrometry with Accelerators (LEMA) was aimed only at determining the age of the samples.

New director for the study of unknown anomalous phenomena at NASA

A new position has appeared in NASA management: director for the study of unknown anomalous phenomena (also known as unknown anomalous phenomena, NAF), better known as UFOs. It was taken over by Bill Nelson, writes with the BBC.

Nelson is an astronaut, having flown one space flight on the shuttle STS-61C (1986, Columbia), and he is an engineer and US Senator from Florida (2001-2019).

In 2022, he openly expressed fears that China could land on the Moon first and claim it as its own.

He assisted in the work of an independent expert commission that studied video recordings and other evidence of encounters with unknown flying objects.

The main conclusion is that after more than a year of research, independent experts have not found convincing evidence that any of the mysterious phenomena or objects depicted in the video are of extraterrestrial origin.

But this does not mean that the opposite is true.

“We don’t really know,” Bill Nelson emphasized.

He clarified that after studying evidence of encounters with UFOs, the commission was able to identify most of the objects.

Some unknown objects, upon closer examination, turned out to be balloons. Others are due to atmospheric phenomena.

But there are phenomena whose nature remains a mystery.

Nelson said that he personally not only believes in the existence of other civilizations in the vastness of the Universe - he is practically sure of it.

There are billions and billions of galaxies in the Universe, he recalled. Each of them contains billions of stars. Most of them have satellites - particularly in the so-called Goldilocks zone: not too close to the parent star, but not too far from it. Only in this case is life possible there.

At the request of the editorial board of the New York Times, NASA even calculated the mathematical probability that life originated on one of these exoplanets at some point. Result? Three hundred million.

In theory, life can exist in approximately the number of worlds available for inspection of the Universe. Therefore, there is no doubt about this possibility.

Another thing is that the distances that representatives of these civilizations would have to overcome to reach Earth require a high level of development.

If we cannot yet get to other worlds, we have to admit that any aliens who get to us must be much more advanced, at least in a technological sense.

So, if aliens really are visiting Earth, NASA wants to know everything about it, Nelson’s deputy for science, Nicola Fox, assured.

“We are scientists,” she reminded. “We just love any data.” Especially new ones that we don’t have yet.”

Unfortunately, most of the videos and other evidence are of poor quality. Therefore, the NASA administration asked everyone: “If you observe an unknown anomalous phenomenon, please film it in the best possible quality. We will have something to study."
