Police managed to identify the body of an unknown woman, found in Oregon. It turned out that the body belongs to 27-year-old Russian woman Anna Repkina, who came to the US for relationships.

According to investigators, Repkina found herself in a love triangle.

In a telephone interview with the agency, Senior Deputy District Attorney Amy Matusko said that she was in an “interesting love triangle” with the suspect William Hargroi and another woman. They lived in different places and Hargrove spent time with both of them, Matusco said.

Another woman gave the accused an ultimatum: “Either she or a Russian woman,” after which he made a decision. “He took the victim to a fairly deserted area and shot him in the back of the head, execution style,” Mastuco said.

The area where they found Repkina is often used for shooting ranges, Ridler added, locals often shoot bottles and cans. Therefore, apparently, the sound of the shot did not alert anyone.

It was possible to identify the woman by fingerprints, so the police did not find any documents during the examination of the Russian woman’s body.

Lawyer Hargrove Mike Flynn declined to comment.

It is known that Repkina came to the USA through Los Angeles International Airport using Russian documents, 1 March. She lived in Corvallis and did not work.

Before this, on December 29, 2016, she changed her status to “in a relationship,” and on January 7, to “engaged.” Benton County Sheriff's Deputy Gregory Ridler said that, according to some information, Repkina could be a “mail order bride” (when companions can actually be selected from a catalog and “ordered” for themselves by paying a commission to the agency), writes “Газета.ру»

We notified the relatives of the deceased and are in constant contact with law enforcement agencies. According to preliminary data, the cause of the crime was a domestic quarrel,” said a representative of the diplomatic mission.

“The suspect has been detained. The prosecutor's office has assured us of providing updates on the investigation and trial," the diplomat said. He added that consular assistance is being provided to the relatives of the deceased.

The next court hearing is scheduled for June 26. The sheriff’s office, with the help of the Russian authorities, has already notified the family of the deceased of her death.
