Uber and Lyft offer free mid-day trips
Uber's passenger services company will simplify the voting process for Americans on the day of the mid-term elections 6 November.

In the framework of cooperation with #VoteTogether and Democracy Works, the company offers promotional codes giving the right to make a free trip on election day, writes The Penny Hoarder.
Free taxis could remove a barrier that has caused some voters to avoid voting - an extra expense they can't afford. Additionally, voters who are unsure where they can vote can find their polling place through the Uber app if they have the latest version of the software.
No evidence of a vote to use free travel is required.
Another option for free travel to the polling station is an offer from Lyft. The carrier offers discounts and free rides for passengers. 6 November. 50 promo codes% discount on the trip is distributed by the organizations Vote.org, Nonprofit Vote and TurboVote. You can get a free ride with protocols from Voto Latino, the Urban League and the National Federation of the Blind.
