You can now expedite your US tourist visa interview for $750.

The US State Department has introduced a rule, effective immediately, that imposes an additional fee of $750 for expedited visitor visa interviews, writes Envoy global.

An additional fee will now be charged for expedited interview appointments for B1/B2 visas (business and tourist). This was announced in a notice for advance review published in the Federal Register on June 9, 2026. The new option allows for faster appointments, but does not affect the visa processing time or the final decision on your application.

Paid express registration: B1/B2 visa applicants will be able to pay an additional $750 to schedule an interview within 10 working days.

Limited number of seats: The service will be available only at selected consulates, and the number of appointments will be limited based on their capacity.

Pilot period: The rule will take effect on July 1, 2026, and will remain in effect until December 31, 2026; this period is given to assess demand.

Additional fee: The new fee supplements, and does not replace, existing nonimmigrant visa fees.
