'My grandmother died, 2 dogs and my beloved city': diary of an 8-year-old boy from Mariupol published

Resident of Mariupol Evgeny Sosnovsky published the diary of an 8-year-old boy who lived in besieged Mariupol.

The boy's recordings are called "War".

From the records it becomes known that the 8-year-old child lived in Mariupol with his mother and 15-year-old sister, the family was injured during the shelling.

The diary begins with the words: “I slept well, woke up and smiled.” Then the boy writes that his grandfather died.

And in the next entry, he describes the injuries that he and his family members received.

“I have a wound on my back, torn skin. My sister has a head wound. Mom has torn out meat on her arm and a hole in her head,” the boy writes.

Despite the horrors happening around, the boy does not lose optimism. He writes that he has a new girlfriend and dreams of how he will celebrate his birthday. The child drew a festive table with a cake and the assembled guests who came to congratulate him.

The boy also portrays the shelling of Mariupol from a tank and an aircraft. Draws people with weapons, dead, burning and rickety houses.

“My grandmother Galya, two dogs and my beloved city of Mariupol died,” the child’s last entry says.

In the comments they write that the boy's name is probably Yegor. The fate of the child and his family is currently unknown.
