Thousands of jellyfish flood the beach in Florida: visitors shot an incredible video with a drone

Thousands of jellyfish flooded the beach in Florida. One of the photographers used his drone to capture the spectacle on video. The edition told in more detail aol.

Amber Fletcher and a friend returned home after photographing sharks, dolphins and rays on Pensacola Beach when a warning went out about thousands of jellyfish swarming off the coast.

Photographers from Pensacola hurried to Navarra Beach. Fletcher launched a drone from the parking lot, while her friend Shane Dai went into the water on a surfboard.

While helping each other find a huge cluster of jellyfish, they noticed the creatures huddled at the pier. Fletcher said she knew there was a group of jellyfish in the area, but had no idea there were so many.

“It was incredibly amazing,” the 34-year-old photographer admired. “What you see doesn’t even look like the truth.”

One of the photos taken by Fletcher shows Dai on his board, completely surrounded by jellyfish. According to him, as soon as he stood on the board, he realized that he could fall into the water and die. But Dai still took underwater photos from a surfboard.

"It was terrible!" was all the 32-year-old man could say.

He explained that within 45 minutes of their arrival, the jellyfish were mostly gone.

“Seeing something that usually not everyone gets to see, I was immensely excited,” said Dai.
