Twitter agreed to negotiate with the Federal Service of Russia
Manual microblogging service Twitter agreed to negotiate with the Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Communications (Roskomnadzor).
The company, including, agreed to work out the issue of determining the daily attendance of popular Russian accounts.
February 13 Roskomnadzor sent official Twitter administration request asking to explain the company's position on blocking prohibited content in Russia and disclosure of information about user accounts.
“Out of 108 requests for disclosure of data on traffic to the accounts of popular users sent to the administration of the social network by Roskomnadzor, not one was satisfied. We have a natural question about the acceptability of such a position for a company that operates on the territory of the Russian Federation,” said the head of Roskomnadzor, Alexander Zharov, earlier.
