Turkey exported its gold reserves from the USA: why and who is next

According to the newspaper Milliyet, the largest Turkish private banks responded to the call of the country's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to “get rid of exchange rate pressure and use gold against the dollar” and also withdrew their gold reserves from abroad. Loss of confidence

The situation was commented on by Dmitry Golubovsky, an analyst at the Kalita-Finance financial group, on the radio. Sputnik. He noted that not only Turkey, but also European countries act in a similar way due to the loss of confidence.

“A lot of information has accumulated that Americans either lease gold from other countries or even sell it. There has not been a Federal Reserve audit on this topic, as far as I know, for several decades. And when, for example, the Germans took their gold, then, if you believe the publications in the media, they were not given back the same bars that had been deposited at one time,” he said.

The expert noted that this fact is suggestive and suspicious that the Fed’s cash gap in gold is real and the declared volumes do not coincide.

Golubovsky also said that he fully supports the policy of the Russian Central Bank to build up gold reserves.

“If the trade war continues to go on as it is now hitting everyone, then it is possible that gold will return as a means of international payments. Now everything is very serious, there is a big fight,” the analyst believes.

He noted that the situation resembles a “remake” of the Great Depression of the 1930s.

“The time has come for such a remake, because everyone who remembered that nightmare has already died. And new idiots can do it again, everything is heading towards this - that’s why smart rulers are taking their gold from the USA. Erdogan is doing everything absolutely right,” Golubovsky is sure.

Follow the example

LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky also supported the decision of Ankara and spoke in favor of withdrawing Russian investments from the US government debt.

“Türkiye has withdrawn its gold reserves from the United States, and this can only be welcomed. We, too, must return all our holdings home,” he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

According to him, today Russia owns US government bonds on 90 with over billion dollars, and in general Russian foreign investments are estimated at 400 billion dollars.

According to Zhirinovsky, officials explain this by saying that money abroad brings more dividends and is insured against Russian internal corruption.
