American aircraft toilets will be even smaller

American airlines decided to earn more money by increasing the number of seats in the plane due to the narrowing of toilet rooms. Representatives of the airlines said that the new toilets will be only a few centimeters narrower, but many pilots, flight attendants and passengers are not happy with innovations.

Consultant Samuel Engel said that his trip to the toilet of a new type with a four-year-old son was like a yoga class, writes Lenta.ru.

“We’re both very compact, but he still practically had to do the splits to fit in the toilet together,” he shared. “And the sink was so narrow that we literally had to dance ballet with four hands, splashing water all over the toilet,” Engel added.

According to the director of the consulting agency Tronos Aviation Consulting Inc, despite the complaints of travelers, companies do not plan to abandon narrow restrooms, as their introduction brings greater income. For example, American Airlines will be able to receive 400 thousand dollars a year from each added seat.

In June, the toilets in the aircraft offered to replace urinals to reduce the waiting for passengers in queues. The manufacturer of aircraft equipment Zodiac Aerospace introduced a double urinal with the name Durinal. According to the concept, two urinals will be combined in one booth so that two men can go to the toilet at the same time. Designers have suggested that this will significantly reduce the waiting time.
