Trump pulls out of second debate with Harris
The 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on September 12 that he will not participate in another presidential debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, reports CNN.
"There will be no third debate!" Trump wrote on Truth Social, citing his first meeting with President Joe Biden in June and the second one - with Harris September 10.
Harris’ campaign called for another debate after the vice president and Trump faced off at the ABC presidential debate in Philadelphia. Harris echoed that call at a rally in Charlotte on Sept. 12: “I think we owe it to the voters to have another debate because this election and what’s at stake is more important than ever.”

But on that same day, September 12, Trump appeared to put an end to the debate about whether there would be another debate, saying Harris “should focus on what she should have done over the last almost four years.”
Harris' campaign said it does not accept Trump's statement that there will be no next presidential debate.
"He changes his position every day," said senior adviser Harris. "I predict there will be another debate."
After the Philadelphia debate, Trump defended his performance to reporters, claiming that ABC moderators were “extremely unfair” and that the debate was a three-on-one battle. The next day on Fox News, Trump said he didn’t know if he wanted to do another debate and continued to claim that he “won.”
"In the world of boxing or UFC, when a fighter gets beat up or knocked out, he gets up and yells, 'I want a rematch!' Well, that's the way it is with debates. She got beat up badly last night. All the polls show we won," Trump wrote on Truth Social on September 11.
According to CNN Fact Check, as of the morning of Sept. 12, all major debate polls that use scientific methods showed Harris winning. That was also the case in a CNN/SSRS poll of registered voters who watched the Sept. 10 debate. They generally agreed that Harris had beaten Trump.
