Trump vs. Harris Debate: When and Where to Watch, What Are the Rules
The clock is ticking down to the first Democratic-Republican presidential debate since Kamala Harris replaced President Joe Biden in the race. Still fresh in everyone’s minds is Biden’s poor and widely criticized performance in the debate with Trump, which raised questions about whether the 81-year-old politician can hold on for another four years. Here are the details you need to know ahead of the showdown between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. NBC New York.
Where and when will the debates between the candidates take place?
The first presidential debate of 2024 between 45th President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris is set to take place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia in the battleground state of Pennsylvania on September 10. A battleground state is one in which the outcome of a presidential election is unpredictable because a significant portion of voters can vote for either the Democratic or Republican candidate.
There will be no spectators in the hall.
The scheduled debate comes nearly three weeks after the conclusion of the 2024 Democratic National Convention, where Harris formally accepted the party's nomination following a tumultuous month that began with Biden's withdrawal from the race.
