Trump doesn't see prices rising and calls reports of rising living costs in the US propaganda.
President Donald Trump said the US economy is in good shape and called polls showing Americans are experiencing economic hardship "fake." He made this statement in an interview with Fox News aired on the evening of November 10, according to ABC News.
Trump claims that negative news about the economy is a "hoax orchestrated by the Democrats." He believes the Democrats "feed" news anchors the idea that the economy is weak, and then "every anchor does exactly what they're told."
"I'll never forget how they used the word 'manufactured,'" Trump said. "Remember the word 'manufactured'? 'Manufactured economy.' Nobody says that. Every anchor kept saying 'manufactured.' They do whatever they're told. The system operates according to predetermined rules."

The US economy, according to the government's final estimate, grew by 3,8% year-on-year in the second quarter, exceeding previous estimates of 3,3% and the initial 3%. However, consumer prices rose 3% in September compared to last year, reaching their highest level since January. Meanwhile, inflation was below economists' forecasts.
However, Trump defended his economic policies, saying that "prices have come down significantly."
"Are you ready? Prices have dropped significantly," he assured. "Gasoline will soon be $2 or so. Gasoline is now $2,70, but under Biden, under Sleepy Joe, it was $4,50. When gasoline gets cheaper, when energy costs go down (and everyone admits energy has gotten cheaper), we drill, drill, drill, and everything is going great."
According to the Automobile Club Association of America (AAA), the average price of a gallon of gasoline on Tuesday, November 11, was $3,072, down from $3,083 a year ago.
The studio also touched on his administration's proposal to introduce 50-year mortgages—an idea that has drawn criticism on social media because the extended repayment period means Americans will pay more in interest than with a shorter loan.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham suggested that longer loans could be seen as a "gift to banks" and would simply "increase the time it takes Americans to pay off their homes."
Trump countered Ingraham: "It just means you pay less each month."
"You're paying longer. It's not that important. It might help a little," he continued. "But even with high interest rates, the economy is the strongest it's ever been. And back to your first question—you mentioned prices. Energy is getting cheaper. Interest rates are falling."
The presenter also touched on the controversial demolition of the East Wing of the White House to make way for the Grand Ballroom, which is currently under construction.
"First of all, the East Wing was a beautiful little structure that had been built many years ago, then renovated, expanded, remodeled, with columns ripped out, and it had nothing in common with the original building," Trump commented. "It was a sad, sad sight, and I could have built a ballroom around it, but then it wouldn't have been the same—by the way, we're building one of the finest ballrooms in the world."

"This building had been rebuilt 20 times, adding a top floor—horrible," the president continued. "It was just brick, with tiny windows, and it looked awful. It had no connection to the original building, and I didn't want to sacrifice a great ballroom for a mediocre one by leaving it right in the middle." (Trump means right in the middle of the future ballroom.) Note.)
