Tropical storm Maria threatens with new destruction in the Caribbean
The National Hurricane Center is following the tropical storm Maria, who is projected to pick up the strength of September 17-18 hurricane.
Meteorologists expect Maria to strike some of the islands of the Caribbean, bringing new damage after the hurricane Irma, which struck these territories in early September, writes NBC.
As of 14: 00 EST, the storm was in 405 miles (652 km) southeast of the Leeward Islands, and the wind speed in it reached 65 miles (105 km) per hour.
Meteorologists predict that during September 18-19, the storm will gain momentum.
Hurricane weather conditions are expected on Monday or Monday morning on the islands of Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, Montserrat, Guadeloupe, Dominique, Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Maarten and St. Martin, St. Barts and Anguilla .
September 18 tropical storm will affect the weather of the islands of Saint Lucia, Martinique, Barbados, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
