Three reasons why it is painful to return to Russia from abroad
In a documentary film about Ivan Urgant and Vladimir Pozner about Germany, Posner interviews his daughter, who many years ago moved to permanent residence in Germany. And she said a smart phrase, something like: "Every time I had to return to Russia, I felt sad."
There are several reasons why it is so sad for immigrants to return to Russia, the newspaper writes.Yandex Zen".
These are not some global reasons, at first glance, they are very domestic, but they create a feeling of pain for most of those who come to Russia.
1. Border control
In general, the theater begins with a hanger. And it's not even about the gloomy and strange border guards. Lack of such around the world. For example, German border guards are also “tortured with questions.” Although, indeed, the Russian control services often ask strange questions to the citizens of their country. For example, sometimes they may ask for how long the traveler travels to Russia (with a Russian passport) and other strange things.
What is more depressing is the condition of the border points. If you have ever crossed the land border of Russia and Estonia, Georgia or Poland, then know. On the one hand, the booth looks like a village barn, and the path, washed away by rains, is closed by cracked boards, on the other hand there are modern pavilions for people, convenient roads with markings for drivers. Immediately you see that Russia is coming.
2. Scanty assortment in stores
One may say that after the imposition of sanctions it was only them who became worse, and we are ok. But such a meager assortment, as in Russia, can be found only in the shops of Belarus. The whole world has long recognized that sprats are doing well in Latvia, sausages in Germany, wine in France and Italy, cheese there, chocolate in Belgium, etc. And in any country in Europe you can find not only local products, but also the choice of the best from the world menu. Often at a very nice price. In Russia you can find made in Russia, in Belarus and in Kazakhstan. Among this, too, there are good products, but the lack of an alternative is bad in itself. And yes, to assure that our cheese is not worse, something like declaring that Lada Grant is quite the same thing as Lexus or Mercedes. You can use it, but be honest! In general, it is sad in Russia to go to the store and not be able to choose.
3. Inconvenience of cities
Many have long had at least two questions: why in Russia no one was washing public transport. Does not wash normally. To be able to sit in it in a light coat, for example (in Europe it is possible). And the second question - who puts the fences and why? Just want to find people who put a piece of the fence near the lawn on one side and ask - why? Russian cities look as if they were not built for people, but people were bred here by chance, no one was waiting for them, so let them survive.
