A three-year-old boy from Washington blocked his father's iPad at 48 years
Evan Osnos, a journalist in Washington, D.C., discovered that his iPad had been locked for 25 million minutes—or nearly half a century. Evan's three-year-old son did this by trying to use the tablet and repeatedly entering the wrong password.
“Uh, this looks fake, but alas, this is our iPad after a 3 year old tried (repeatedly) to unlock it. Any ideas?” Osnos asked his Twitter followers, as quoted by Fox News.
The post by the journalist of the New Yorker edition provided a screen shot of the iPad, on which the device recommends that the owner try to access again via 25 536 442 minutes, that is 48,5 years.
One of the subscribers joked that his father should restart his three-year-old child or try a trip in time. Others offered helpful resources and tips to solve the problem. Still others advised to give this gadget to a child when he was struck 52 of the year.
In accordance with the recommendations of Apple, users in this situation are recommended to restore and update the settings via iTunes. However, any unsaved data in this case will be irretrievably lost.
On April 8, Osnos reported that the tablet was still locked and joked: "We have another 25 million minutes to try." On April 9, he tweeted that the tablet was now rebooting and restoring data, and thanked everyone for their help.
