Third death in two weeks: a man died falling into the Grand Canyon
This week, a man died after falling into the Grand Canyon. This is the third death since the beginning of last week.
On Wednesday, April 3, around 11: 30 in the morning, park administrators were informed about a man’s fall east of the Yavapai Geology Museum, according to a press release from the National Park Service.
Rangers were able to find the body of an 67-year-old male at about 400 feet (121 m) below the cliff, the report says.
The fall site is located on the Southern Ring in the Grand Canyon Village. The area is open to visitors, the report said.
This is the third person lost in the Grand Canyon for the last two weeks.
The Grand Canyon is visited annually by more than 4 million people, it is one of the most famous natural attractions in the world.
