Trump fired from US show 'The Celebrity Apprentice'
Billionaire Donald Trump has been removed from his position as host of the American television show “The Celebrity Apprentice,” which he hosted since 2008. This was reported by the AP agency.
“The show will not air next season, but will return to screens in the future with a new host,” the agency quotes an NBC representative as saying.
The TV show The Celebrity Apprentice features celebrities trying to raise as much money as possible for charities. The program is an offshoot of The Apprentice project, where businessmen competed for the right to work in one of Donald Trump's companies.
In June, NBC Universal announced it was ending business ties with Trump, who had announced his candidacy for the presidency of the United States. The reason for this was the billionaire’s harsh statements in one of his television interviews, where he spoke of immigrants from Mexico as “people from whom many problems arise, along with which drugs and crime appear.”
