Trump wants to personally take part in the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem
US President Donald Trump said he might visit Israel to open a new US embassy in Jerusalem, writes The Times of Israel.

“I can go. Very proud of this,” Trump said during a joint news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
He also reiterated that he was ready to approve the financing of the construction of the embassy in the amount of 1 billion. But I changed my mind in time, realizing that construction could be cheaper. He said that he instinctively knew that the embassy could be opened for 300-400 thousand dollars.
Recall in December 2017, Trump promised open the US Embassy in Jerusalem. In January, the president announced that the new facility would be inaugurated in time for Israel's 70th anniversary. Trump's decision caused unrest among the Palestinians and protests in several countries of the Arab world.
