Trump wants Putin to help him win the election, he asked the head of the Russian Federation to find dirt on Biden

In a new interview released March 29, Donald Trump urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to release any incriminating information he has about the Biden family. with the BBC.

This is the latest example of Trump's willingness to ask for and accept domestic political help from foreign nations—even from Putin, who is currently waging a bloody war against Ukraine.

In an interview with JustTheNews, Trump made an unsubstantiated claim about Hunter Biden's business dealings in Russia and asked Putin to reveal any information he might have. It is not clear if any materials exist or if the Kremlin has access to them.

“I think Putin knows the answer to that,” Trump said, referring to Hunter Biden’s potential dealings in Russia. “I think he should reveal the information.” I think we should know the answer."

It is true that Hunter Biden was paid handsomely for the consulting work he did in foreign countries, including Ukraine and China, while his father, President Joe Biden, was vice president. The Department of Justice is conducting a criminal investigation into these transactions and potential financial crimes.

But no evidence has emerged to support Trump's claims that the Bidens engaged in corruption or influenced U.S. policy for personal gain, and the president was not implicated in the investigation. Hunter Biden denies wrongdoing and says he will be acquitted when the criminal investigation is completed.

Trump's public address to Putin goes back to his infamous comment in July 2016 in which he said "Russia, if you can hear me" and then urged Putin to hack Hillary Clinton's private emails. This was the start of Trump's years-long effort to improve his political prospects with the help of foreigners.

Trump's 2016 campaign also included and benefited from Russia's election interference operation against Clinton. For example, the campaign regularly used Democratic emails that had been hacked and leaked by the Russian military, and members of Trump's inner circle also met during the campaign with a Russian agent who promised dirt on Clinton.

In 2019, Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to launch baseless corruption investigations against then-candidate Joe Biden and withheld nearly $400 million in U.S. military aid from the scheme. This incident led to Trump's first impeachment.

And during the 2020 campaign, some of Trump's top allies partnered with a well-known Russian spy to spread disinformation about Biden and his family, including some of the same allegations of corruption Trump mentioned in a new interview.

The video, in which Trump asks Putin for help, was released by a news website founded by John Solomon, a pro-Trump journalist whose previous coverage of the Bidens' ties to Ukraine has been discredited. He said the interview was recorded on March 28 in Mar-a-Lago.
