Trump to Display Offensive Biden Portrait in White House
Donald Trump has said that the official White House portrait of Joe Biden will feature the 46th president's infamous auto-signer, writes Daily Mail.
Donald Trump announced his plans for some new decor in and around the White House on August 29. He presented a Daily Caller reporter with a sketch of his predecessor's official portrait.
"We're going to put up a picture with an auto-subscriber," the 47th president said of the portrait, which he said would go up within the next two weeks.

It was not specified whether it would depict Biden with an auto-subscriber or just the auto-subscriber itself.
Trump showed journalist Reagan Reese how the portrait "might look in the Rose Garden" on what he calls the "presidential wall of fame."
"I think the black and white is the same picture in black and white. Yeah, and I don't use the one with the smile," Trump said as he, press secretary Caroline Leavitt and communications director Stephen Chong showed Reese various versions of the portraits.
"I'll take it — show me the other one we use because I like it. It's going to be very controversial," he added, presumably referring to the auto-follower portrait.
Reese responded to the president: "This will be funny."
He then hinted at a White House investigation into the scandal, which Trump previously called "disgraceful."
Early in his term, Trump tasked Attorney General Pam Bondi and White House Counsel David Warrington with investigating Biden's use of auto-signup. Congressional Republicans launched their own investigation.
The autoopen scandal arose around claims by Donald Trump and Republicans that Joe Biden had overused the device during his presidency.
An auto-signer is a device that mechanically reproduces a person's signature. Previous US presidents, such as George W. Bush and Barack Obama, have used it, but mostly for routine letters and minor documents. It has even been deemed acceptable for signing laws and pardons, and Trump himself has said more than once that he has used it for thousands of letters from citizens.
However, in Biden's case, Republicans argue that the situation was different. According to them, almost all documents of his presidency, starting in 2021, contained not a real signature, but an autograph. The only exception was the document about Biden's refusal to participate in the 2024 elections. At the same time, the number of his public appearances and press conferences sharply decreased, and his communication with lawmakers and journalists was strictly controlled by aides. This raised suspicions that in reality, decisions were made not by the president himself, but by his inner circle.
Trump has repeatedly called it “one of the biggest scandals of the last 50 or 100 years,” and has claimed that Biden was suffering from cognitive decline, so aides hid his true condition and used auto-signing to sign important documents on his behalf. Trump says this calls into question the legality of a host of decisions, from executive orders and pardons to judicial appointments.
Republicans in Congress, having launched an investigation, are demanding testimony from Biden's former advisers, in particular Mike Donilon, Ron Klain, and Anita Dunn. The 46th president's personal physician, Kevin O'Connor, was also subpoenaed. Books and publications by some journalists suggested that the country was actually run by a group of the president's closest associates.
The pardons signed during his presidency have been particularly controversial. Biden has reduced the sentences of about 6 prisoners and pardoned several high-ranking officials, including Gen. Mark Milley and members of the January XNUMX commission. Biden himself has said in interviews that he made the decisions personally and used auto-signing only because the volume of paperwork was too large.
In his memo, Trump said: "It is becoming increasingly clear that President Biden's associates have abused the President's signature authority through auto-signing to conceal Biden's cognitive decline and usurp Article II authority.
This conspiracy is one of the most dangerous and disturbing scandals in American history. The American public was deliberately deprived of the ability to know who was actually exercising executive power while Biden's signature was placed on thousands of documents to enact sweeping policy changes."
Trump is demanding a forensic examination of every document signed during the 46th president's term to determine which contained Biden's genuine signature and which were reproduced by an automated signer.
“The auto-signer, in my opinion, is one of the biggest scandals of the last 50 to 100 years. It’s a huge scandal,” Trump concluded during a meeting with reporters in the Oval Office in June. “I guarantee you he didn’t know anything about what he was signing. I assure you.”
Trump has made it his practice to regularly hold press events with the signing of decrees with his own hand, explaining it this way: “No auto-signer can do such a signature.”
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has launched a parallel investigation, calling for testimony from former top Biden aides including Mike Donilon, Anita Dunn, Ron Klain, Bruce Reed, and Steve Ricchetti, alleging they participated in a “cover-up” of Biden’s cognitive decline.
Comer cited sensational claims by CNN's Jack Tapper and Axios' Alex Thompson in their book Original Sin, which claimed that "the country was run by five people, and Joe Biden was, at best, a senior member of the board."

In addition, the committee issued subpoenas to Biden's physician, Kevin O'Connor, and several White House staffers who reportedly helped conceal Biden's true condition from the American people.
Republicans argue that if Biden's aides, rather than Biden himself, made key decisions, it would cast doubt on the legality of key executive actions, including pardons for his relatives and family members, as well as members of the House committee investigating the events of January 6 at the Capitol.
