Trump confessed his love to immigrants
US President Donald Trump, who officially launched the re-election campaign this week, tried to win the sympathy of Hispanic voters by giving an interview to the American Hispanic television channel Telemundo, writes Voice of America.

“I adore immigrants,” said Trump, when host José Díaz-Balart asked him about the practice of separating families at the border, canceling the DACA program for immigrants brought into the country at a young age, and the “zero tolerance” policy at the border.

“You mean illegal immigrants,” Trump specified. “Because I have always been very good at immigrants.”
“This country is built on immigrants,” the president added, stressing that he would welcome more immigrants into the country to fill industry jobs returned to the country during his presidency.
During his first interview with the Spanish-language channel, Trump said that he was very popular with Hispanics, and noted the 17-percent increase in his rating in this segment of the electorate. He also said that during his presidency there was a record low level of unemployment among Hispanics.
According to the president, this popularity is due to his immigration and border policies.
“Because Latinos want stiffness at the border,” he said. - They do not want people to come and take away their work. They do not want criminals to come, because they understand the border better than anyone. ”

Responding to a question about recent tweets in which Trump wrote that the US authorities will soon begin to deport "millions of illegal immigrants," the president stressed that he had in mind not only Latin Americans.
“Many of them came from China. Many of the other parts of the world, ”he noted.
Trump praised efforts to curb the flow of migrants that Mexico took after the White House threatened to impose duties on its goods.
