Trump suggested that the US 'pretend to be Chinese' and attack Russia
Donald Trump suggested painting US warplanes with Chinese flags and attacking Russia to win the war in Ukraine, reports CNN.
Donald Trump has expressed his idea of how he could possibly handle Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine - and it's unimaginable.
Trump told a group of Republicans in New Orleans that the United States should paint Chinese flags on its F-22 jets and then use those jets to bomb Russia, according to an audio recording obtained by The Washington Post.
“And then we say, ‘China did it, we didn’t do it, China did it,’ and then they start fighting each other, and we sit and watch,” Trump concluded.
What?
Naivete is on the rise here. Does Trump really think the Russians will be so easily fooled? That the display of the Chinese flag on our planes is a serious enough ploy to fool them?
What's worse than Trump's seeming belief that this plan will work is what will happen if it works. Is it really befitting for the United States to allow two countries with nuclear weapons to fight each other? The instability this will cause on the world stage is literally unfathomable.

An audience of Republicans laughed when Trump offered his "pretend we're Chinese" strategy. It is not yet clear whether Trump was really joking.
I remember the story when Trump wanted to buy Greenland from Denmark. And when they did not go for it, he abruptly canceled a planned visit to the country.
“Denmark is a special country with incredible people, but based on comments from Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen that she is not interested in discussing the purchase of Greenland, I will postpone our scheduled meeting in two weeks to another time,” he tweeted in that time.
Trump also sided with Russian President Vladimir Putin, not US intelligence agencies, when it came to whether Russia actively interfered in the 2016 election.
Trump has repeatedly provided false information about immigrants from Central America and Africa, insisting that he needs more immigrants from countries like Norway.

This means that there is absolutely no reason to give him the benefit of the doubt in his latest comments about the war in Ukraine.
Trump - the top contender for the 2024 Republican Party nomination - may well indeed believe that the solution to Russia's invasion of Ukraine is to paint a few Chinese flags on American planes in the hope of starting a war. Continental conflict between Russia and China.
